The McMillan Stone Temple
The mausoleum was designed to be a tholos, a circular mycenaean temple. When it was first constructed, the forest around it was far less thickly wooded than it is today. There are three separate sets of stairs, each set having its own meaning. The third set contains seven steps, which stand for the seven liberal arts and sciences.
