The History of the Gospels
The Gospels are news story declaring a message about Jesus that he is the Savior of all the world and the Lord over heaven and earth. We need to understand Jesus in his Jewish and rabbinic context so that we can hear him. The literary component is the why did the author tell us what happened? In other words, why did Luke include the story or why did Matthew include the story? Why did Mark put this story at this point in the story?"
