I would say just try to get an overview of the language this could be just by by reading a Wikipedia article just to see how the language is made up. Then try to learn vocabulary words maybe like the most thousand used words because there are these frequency lists on the internet I would focus on that right and then once you have a certain amount of vocabulary I would listen to podcasts in your target language. Sheila: For me as a visual learner reading things while I'm listening is brilliant and highlighting vocabulary if I'm reading a page in a book a new vocabulary comes up that gets highlighted in orange for me as avisual learner so highlighters are my best friend.
