Women's Head Injuries Are More Common Than Men's
Male players always have a properly qualified medic during a match, watching out for serious injuries. But there often isn't one in the women's game. And even if there is a medic, they are unlikely to be trained in spotting head injuries. Even if a female player lucks out and has her head injury spotted, she will then have to run the gauntlet of a care system that simply doesn't believe women. As freya found.
