What Is a No Fault Eviction?
A no fault eviction means a landlord can kick you out with just two months notice and they don't have to provide a reason. It's actually one of the things which is potentially going to be changed in the rental reform bill, but it keeps getting postponed. I think there was a recognition that now that private renting is a tenure, which affects 20% of the population, they have to do something about section 21 because it's so untenable for people who are not within a defined period of contract. The difference is that housing is a little bit more fundamental than most consumer goods, which you might think you can have unqualified property ownership.
