Is Fasting a Good Alternative to Exercise?

Fasting is a fantastic replacement for exercise for people who don't want to move their bodies a lot. I find that fasting works best for people who are sedentary, who have weight to lose and who have liver fat. If you're in a metabolically inflexible state like an athlete, your brain will bonk because it can't handle the work of exercise. You need to build some metabolic flexibility by just going without eating for a few hours. Then after that, I would recommend doing some ketosis and getting more out of time.
