How to Make a Cash Flow Forecast for Your Startup
Most startups are not going to be able to capture anything coming down the line if they're looking at last month's cash balance divided by what you spent. Don't get fancy with your Excel formulas like of course there are intricate models that we can build and again if you're working with a fractional CFO you might have some templates that they've used elsewhere that you can leverage. I always encourage my clients too like I'll tell them here's our cash runway and here's their cash runway if you didn't make a dollar more just understanding how long would that last is very tactical.
