I was turning this into a screenplay all the way through the book, but coming to the end I really felt for Eloise. It's such a heartbreaking moment. This is a woman who helped build the CIA. We see that for Elizabeth's admirer in particular, she turns to alcohol and she's miserable. She misses the agency. So yes, there's certainly a lot of sadness there. But there's very sweet moments too."
