What Is the Process of Replacement?

When you semzuminon bone, it's porous and fibrous. It is incredibly full of spaces that, just to us, look smooth. The minerals being deposited don't have to be big grains of sand. They can be tiny, tiny crystals. And in replacement, instead of filling in the empty spaces, minerals are replacing the original material. So water, overtime, is dissolving, reacting with bone or wood, or whatever the original material is, and depositing new minerals in the place.
