Octavian and the Second Triumvirate

Mark Antony is the last man left standing. Octavian says, on second thought, let's become allies with Mark Antony. The biggest mistake of his career, he says, that's a good idea. In November of 43, they meet at in Bologna,. right outside of Bologna, and they form a conspiracy to control the state. It's called the Second Triumvirate. They take the city. And these guys are now effectively in charge of Rome. I always think in ancient history, whenever somebody dies inconveniently, it's always poisoned. This may well be. But who knows?
