The Caesars

Julian is a late antique in the extreme and very kind of plodding. He doesn't show a lot of kind of lightness of wit sometimes, but then sometimes he does,. such as in his work "The Caesars" It's lighthearted, it's satirical, it's poking fun at his predecessors as emperors. But also seemingly, it's not afraid of making the gods into sort of comic figures to some degree - doing human stuff.
