The Terminally Skeptic Position in Philosophy
The philosopher is the person who doesn't even know that, you know, reality exists and what even is reality, right? So the kind of person who's willing to part with all certainty, part with a whole carload of beautiful possibilities. That might even prefer a certain nothing to an uncertain something. I think that really perfectly describes what's happening, but Nietzsche's pointing out or a certain type of person, a certain phase that people go through in philosophy.
