Coffee can be considered partaking of something from a plant, which can fall into the basic category. There are compounds in plants that actually protect us against oxcidation and free radicals. Those compounds have a role in multiple diseases such as an inflammation in the body. We know that if we eat more of these plant foods with antioxcidents in them, it'll help us protect against all the different diseases that we may be atk for. It could certainly give you all the benefit that a plant food gives you but you can absolutely find it as a pleasurable experience as well.
