The UK mortgages average rate on a two year fixed rate loan goes up to nearly 6%. For New Zealand, that's a significant number as an interest rate. The banks had to pull some of their products, didn't they? There was all sorts of messes then they had to step in. That shows how catastrophic and chaotic it was, right?
