Is There an Explanation for Whye?
The rhetoric, at least in modern asian teravada, is th otake the lay precepts fairly literally as a lay person in your daily life. Is there an explanation that you know of, or why you don't need to do that? If you're an american, i think it's emmunes. You know, again, this is from the, said, the insight meditation side of things. And what's interesting about that, and we've talked about this, there's a very real difference between how the insight tradition is practised on the east coast and how it's practising on the west coast.
