John Candy and the Movie Home Alone
Candy worked for scale, which was the minimum that the sagg will let you work for. The following year when Chris Columbus worked with Candy on the film only the lonely John Candy was still pissed off about it. He said there were a couple of times on set when he would make a cutting remark about Fox and what he was paid. His young son became obsessed with the movie home alone and went to see it in theaters all of the time.
