The German Federal Republic After World War II

From the beginning of the German republic, one of their rules is that you can't be a Nazi. I think it's understandable for there to always be reticence for the rest of Germany ever having a large military again. There was throughout a lot of the Cold War, like a, a huge US and British military presence in Germany. The current modern German military, some people would describe as kind of a laughing stock,. Not fair, but it's not very large and it's notvery capable.
