Ya Am is the co-founder of M, a non profit organization that trains young people to organize and fight for systems change. She started her career in soft ware engineering before moving into fund raising. Ya Am says she was more excited about volunteering as a volunteer than doing paid work. The real tipping point came when she went back to work after taking time off to canvass on behalf of transgender rights.
