There's a three-step process. In the first step, we make an affirmation about God. Then there's a second moment that needs to happen. Where you say something like X is not F being understood, maybe I should just say God right? So God is F. Here what you're doing is you're saying something like, in the same sense, as creatures. This second moment is critical, sometimes called the negative way, where we deny of God terms. And we deny they mean the same thing when applied to God, as when applied to creatures.
