Ukraine Begins to Rebuild Its Navy and Fight Back Against Russia
Russia wiped out Ukraine's navy with its attacks in 2014 and in the current war. Now Russia's blocking Ukraine's critical grain exports through the Black Sea. The US has provided about a dozen of these vessels because Russia seized or destroyed much of Ukraine's navy when it first invaded in 2014. NPR's Greg Myrie got a ride on one of their few boats.
