The Transient Nature of a Seaside Resort

Detectives knew they were dealing with a dangerous killer who had raped and murdered Sandra. The problem is that in a holiday resort such as Salkham, there was a chance their key witness may have already moved on. In the transient nature of a seaside resort, it would have been easier for the killer to move on if they were not from the area. Detective Superintendent Phil Pike appealed for people to come forward including two women seen taking photographs about 100 yards from the murder scene. But unfortunately, like so many others in this fast moving investigation, didn't progress any further.
