As a kid, I saw Into the Woods as very much about fairy tales. And when I saw the Broadway revival, it was very loyal to the original text. It didn't revolutionize it. But now as an adult, I realize, Oh, it's a show about parents and children that uses fairy tales as the vehicle. You can make a whole other musical about anyway before you went to the piano colony. The genius of great art.
