The Impact of Interventions on Self-Efficacy in Schools
I don't think we know yet what the trajectory is. What's the baseline, where can the children get to? I think it's important to keep going with this kind of research and monitoring whether interventions are making a difference. A lot of focus has been on benchmarking about to pre-pandemic standards. But if you've got children who have taken a hit in terms of their sense of self-efficacy, it's not going to be enough to put on catch up tutorials. So whilst there might be external pressures to focus on the attainment element, it's really important if we're going to tackle the attainment that we also address psychological needs.
