What Is the Purpose of the Gospel?

According to the scriptures, the gospel's purpose is to make an appeal so that you can choose to follow him or to reject him. The calvinist reverses that order and says: You have to be made alive. You have to been regenerated. You haveto be irresistibly graced. To be elco yuat  you need dragging grace. You need irresistible grace. If you're born incapable of wanting him then he won't work for you. I would say, as isaiah 55 11, my word goes out from my mouth, it will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what i desire and achieve the purpose for which i sent it.
