Leverage in Decentralized Finance
Lending in defi is a very popular financial primitive that the defi world has used for leverage, for taking directional positions and so on. To have credit be used for productive purpose, you often have to lend it to participants that aren't coming with lots of capital already. The first step to doing that has been over collateralization. So i would venture to guess nine greater than 95 % of all debt or credit that is issued in the world is under collateralized.
