DeepMind claims its new co-generating system is competitive with human programmers. Alpha code has been able to show that I can write competition level code, quote unquote, and achieve an average ranking within the top 54% across 10 recent contests With more than about 5,000 participants in it. The actual architecture and stuff involved is not super interesting. It is just basically a larger version for exercise of codecs at 41.4 billion parameters.
