Originally, they were literally birds with the bodies and voices of women. But they were sea birds. And i think it's really interesting to note that they have wings, like we're talking about earlier, this connection to water, why wings? So thinking of them as sea birds, and thinking of them and the gorgons, and a lot of these same kind of groups of sisters that were monstrous, slatch protectors, slash psycho pomp kind of qualities to them. They resonate for women in some different ways. Perhaps in antiquity and definitely to day. Write that very focused energyon men and men's egos, in a way, right?
