The Stable State Theory of the Universe

The name big bang came about as sort of like an insult. The steady state theory involved the creation of more stars and galaxies to keep lack the density constant. All that in to of what we think of now, but back then it seemed so hov counter to the evidence. They were thinking, like, the density of the universe doesn't change. It's somehow expanding, but the density's not changing.
