The Milky Way and Andromeda Merge Together
In about five billion years, the Milky Way will have its first major merger with another galaxy. The stars themselves probably won't collide because everything is so spread apart in space. But you'll still get a lot new stars and the orbits of things will get jumbled. We will be long dead by then. Our son actually will not survive that long in its current state.
