Warnocky: This is a pretty cool study. It's titled using daily stretching to counteract performance decreases as a result of reduced physical activity. And they had athletes just stand on it, stretching one of their calves during a COVID lockdown when they couldn't train. Warnocky: Not only did it preserve strength, it actually increased strength. So there's a 10% increase in strength and the stretched leg. Also an increase in single leg jump height on that leg by about 3%.
