Social Media

There are some social scientists who are even more pessimist than I am about the effect of social media on societal dialogue and on individual psyches. There's a book coming out soon by Jonathan Hite who is a sociologist at NYU, who argued that the beginning at the end of civilization is this social media. Now that might be a little, a little too much. But people have been warning us about similar issues way before,. you know when the major threat was television rather than Facebook or Twitter.
