Corporate America and Shareholders Won't Make a Demand of You
Book is a revisitation on freedmen, a peace that we discuss many times on our padcaste. You are saying that, acturally, freedmen miss the political dimension of the corporation. I think the best argument for stake holder capitalism, i think, os something like this. The state allows the corporation to exist. Society gives corporate shareholders this legally invented privilege called limited liability. It was an explicit grand bargain that said in return for this great gift of limited ity, corporate america and shareholders wouldn't make a demand of you. And the demand is that your directors and officers only concern themselves with what allows you as a corporation to make the most profit, and nothing else.
