The Reformation and the Covenant of Grace
After his pastorate in sefenville, he was to work with an all lutheran faculty as the sole professor of reformed theology. His employer in gertikin gave him a grace period before he had to lecture so that he can spend time catching up on his knowledge of classic reform theology. He went to the primary sources and began to engage with reading calvin and the calvinists. In fact, his criticisms can be found as early as his gertgin lectures, where he says that the post reformation reform view of covenant of works is a corruption of the calvinist tradition.
