Cumming's Experiments on Matthew Clydesdale

Cumming's experiments were an effort to expose them for the overhyped fantasies that he felt sure they really were. The discovery of electromagnetic induction by Michael Faraday in 1831 paved the way for electricity to forge a new role in medicine. By the mid-19th century, experiments attempting to revive dead criminals and equally, experiments designed to discredit such efforts were increasingly seen as something to be fearful of rather than entertained by. Electrotherapy continued almost 100 years until it was replaced with defibrillator devices. In the modern era, scientists are uniform on the conclusion that it's impossible to generate life from a corpse.
