Michael Cohen's Indictment of Donald Trump

The Manhattan district attorney is apparently, and we have to add the parenthetical now apparently because we haven't seen an indictment yet. He's wanting to indict a person in state court on the legal theory that depends on an unindicted, unproven federal prosecution. The case depends upon a federal case, not a state case, that both the Trump and the Biden departments of justice chose not to bring. And so this is really unusual. This is not the way criminal cases tend to go. It's just not what you do.
