Is There a Consistency Between Justification by Faith and Baptism?

A response to an article in themelios about martin luther's doctrine of baptism. It argued that there is a complete incompatibility between justification by faith alone and the kind of baptismal efficacy he talks about. Solofide really comes from luther's view of baptism and his understanding of baptism as the promise of god. And so if we are going to go back to that promise, we can do it by just going back to the Baptismal promise which god has given us.
