The Emergency Medicine Stabilization Team

The motivation for this program was a few years ago, coming in on a shift and taking sign out busy ER shift. A critically ill patient had been there for a few hours waiting for an ICU bed. And the literature shows that after about four to six hours of an ICU border, their morbidity mortality starts to creep up. So I really wanted to address that from a community perspective.
