I don't write anything down verbatim, like out. I'll write a bullet note and then go up and talk about the first eight. Then i can res pe it and reshape it until it's a proper joke. But it never goes on the paper as as a joke when i'm writing it out. What i used to do was, once i'd got the sort of vague structure that i'd done on stage, i'd then take it back to my house,.
