Can AI Do Dogfighting?
The long term goal is to allow the AI systems to physically maneuver the plane, including defensively or even in a dogfight if necessary. A big barrier to AI adoption is trust, it's getting humans to trust that AI system. If military can show pilots that an AI can do dogfighting, that's going to help improve trust that pilots might have in thatAI system. And then open the door to using AI in other ways in aerial combat.
