The Problem With Pride in the Middle East
I'm noticing that pride, I think, is a massive problem in the West. When you go to parts of the Middle East... Dubai itself does not really have any culture. What they do is they take the best parts from each place whilst also maintaining some of their traditions and belief systems. There's this pride because you're still running off the fumes of "we've been the top dogs for the past few centuries" And so that very un-entrepreneurial culture is present and I think it's increasingly present in theWest.
