Introduction

A new energy-efficient chip fixes an old design flaw to run large-scale AI algorithms on smaller devices. It reaches the same accuracy as wasteful digital computers. New RM uses a relatively new type of memory called resistive RAM, or RM. Unlike previous RM chips, new RM is programmed to operate in an analog fashion to save more energy and space.
