What's Your Writing Process?

I wanted to read a story that didn't really involve romance so much. I wanted to give a character some self growth and have him battle his inner enemies, but without falling into love. And I wanted to show how family bonds and friendships can actually help as well. So the rest is just me just working around it, tearing off pages, rewriting chapters and all that. That's interesting.
