Is Enlightenment a Phantasy?

Enlightenment is a promise of something. And if we didn't have this promise, we wouldn't be embarking on the path. So it's kind of worth while to have the fantasy or something called enlightenment to do a whole lot of things. But i think its really important to reflect on the fact that it is a phantasy.
