The explosion of all the tools in the modern data stack allowed rapid creation of data assets. The challenge is that currently at the disposal of data teams by default, there are only handful approaches that can be leveraged for testing. And so when we start our data fold, we try to find a better way to test to give people visibility into what changes they're making.

Data engineering is all about building workflows, pipelines, systems, and interfaces to provide stable and reliable data. Your data can be stable and wrong, but then it isn't reliable. Confidence in your data is achieved through constant validation and testing.
