What Happened to Relations Between the Black and Jewish Communities?
Dara Star Tucker: Historically black and Jewish people have been natural allies. There is a common history of extreme persecution and triumph in the midst of adversity, she says. For a while these commonalities seem to create a natural alliance between the two groups but that relationship has since soured. She explains why we need to be able to hold both Jews and blacks accountable for their oppression.
