The Role of the Unions in the Development of Neoliberalism

Australia and New Zealand have very similar industrial relations systems, this centralized arbitration conciliation. It means that often the countries are really compared quite closely because they're kind of like each other. But every country is unique and the US has its own peculiarities and challenges in terms of organising. There's a lot we can learn from each other but we certainly can't rely on conservative union leaders or social democratic or labourers parties for the way forward. What do we do to actually build from the bottom up to build working people's power socially and politically? We've got to understand in Australia that past that collaboration and incorporation.
