Using a Caterpillar to Break Down Plastic Bags

The larvae of wax moths have the ability to break down polythene, the main component of plastic bags. Federica Bertaccini from the Spanish Research Council in Madrid made the discovery. Plastic pollution is a massive issue globally, which we're failing to tackle.
