Stephan nichols is the president of reformation bible college. What were some of the differences between calvin and luther's theology? Luther said, if you can't do anything else, if you fail at everything in life, go ahead and be a magistrate. Calvin was what we call psalmody. And held to this the view that the worship of the church should be the psalms. Another difference impacted the the liturgy and the worships of the church. The two reformers had rich theological commitments that bound them together.
