I was amazed reading, particulary, with regard to the chapters on the military, the extent to which recruitment is driven by economic necessity. I me, do you still have a kind of free standing army in america, a kind of draught by circumstance? Now, y i think that, a, you know, effectively we have a system that's not so different from what existed,. in, i the nineteenth century where wealthy people literally could pay poor people to fight for them. A, we don't quite say that, we don’t do that. But we have this volunteer army where, disproportionately, yonow who's going to go to the military
