The Problem With the Metropolitan Police
I think we have a massive structural problem with the Metropolitan Police in that they are not only London's local police force but the kind of national security apparatus. It just feels to me like if we could separate those two things I mean maybe maybe this is nonsense because maybe it would still be the national security bit that was that was dealing with these protests. If it was the hands in the hands of a local police force rather than something that answers directly to the home office it would be a different sort of job which is attracted a different type of person, he says.
